How we handle your information.
Meramia Technologies LTD, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, publishes this website under the MXENE brand. This notice explains how we handle information from visitors and enquiries.
The contact form
When you use the contact form, we email your message and the details you provide to our team. These include your name and email address, together with any organisation, role, subject and response preference you choose to include. The email is sent from lab@mxene.tech, with your address set as the reply address. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry.
The form sends your enquiry through Amazon Simple Email Service in the European Union. The website does not save the enquiry to a customer database. Email providers process the message for delivery, and delivery records help us investigate failures. We keep the email for the conversation or any resulting engagement.
If you email lab@mxene.tech directly, Amazon’s receiving service temporarily stores the message before forwarding it to our mailbox. That temporary copy is scheduled for deletion after thirty days.
The access log
The site is served through a content delivery network, which keeps a standard access log: the address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and browser information. The log is used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and for nothing else. It is not joined to any other data and is not used to profile visitors.
Analytics, only if you accept
On your first visit a banner asks whether we may measure visits with Google Analytics. Until you accept, the site loads nothing from Google and sets no analytics cookie.
If you accept:
- Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives the pages you view, how you arrived, and your browser and device type. Google derives an approximate location from your address and does not store the address.
- The site keeps a visitor identifier and a record of your first and latest visit, and how you arrived, in a cookie and in your browser’s storage, for two years.
- The contact form records that a form was started, sent or refused, and the subject you chose. It never records your name, address or message.
- Advertising features stay off. This site and meramia.com report to the same Google Analytics property.
You can change your choice at any time with Manage cookies at the foot of every page. Declining stops the measurement and deletes the visitor identifier and the visit record. The choice itself is remembered in a cookie and in your browser’s storage, so the banner does not return.
What the site does not do
- It sets no advertising cookies, and loads no third-party script unless you accept analytics.
- The marketing website has no user accounts.
- It does not sell or rent your information. Hosting and email providers process information to operate the site and deliver your enquiry.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by writing to lab@mxene.tech.
Changes
We update this notice before changing how the website handles personal information. The current version is published on this page.
